In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade ( Development & Regulation ) Act, 1992 ( No. 22 of 1992 ) read with Paragraph 1.3 and 4.1 of the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002(incorporating amendment made upto 31.3.2000), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import items, 1997-2002 published on 31st March, 1997- ( RE-98) as amended from time to time:-

(i) In entry at ITC(HS) Code No. 0703 (1) of Schedule-2, Table-B relating to export of Onions ( All varieties other than Bangalore rose Onions and Krishnapuram Rose Onions ), the last date for shipment of 1.5 Lakh M. Tonnes of Onions released vide Notification No. 31 ( Re-2000)/1997-2002 dated 24th August, 2000 and Notification No. 35 ( RE-2000)/1997-2002 dated 25th Sept., 2000 is extended from 30.11.2000 to “15th December, 2000.”

(ii) In the entry at ITC(HS) Code No. 0703 (2) of Schedule –2, Table B relating to export of Bangalore Rose Onions and Krishnapuram Onions, introduced vide Notification No. 21 ( RE-2000 )/1997-2002 dated 26.6.2000 , service charges to be collected by KAPPEC and AP-MARKFED as mentioned in sub para(v) therein is revised from Rs.20/MT to (iii) “3.5% ad valorem ”

Para (vi) of the said Notification shall stand deleted.
