S.O. (E) In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy,1997-2002 (incorporating amendments made up to 31.3.2000), the Central Government hereby the makes following further amendments in Schedule 2, Table-B of the book titled ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Imports items, 1997-2002.

(1) All the entries under the Heading “Raw Hides and skins (other than fur skins) and leather ” may be deleted and the following entries may be inserted, namely: -

4107	(b)  Finished leather all kinds	Free	Subject to the definition of finished leather, notified by DGFT from time to time
4302	Clothing leather fur suede hair, hair-on suede/shearing suede leather	Free	As defined in ISI norms 8170

(2) The Heading, “Fur skins and artificial fur manufacturers thereof” and the entry there under shall be deleted.
