Exports
11.1 Policy
The policy relating to Exports is given in chapter-11 of the Policy. Further, Schedule 2, Appendix-1 of the ITC (HS) specifies the list of items which may be exported without a licence but subject to terms and conditions specified in this behalf.
11.2 Application for Grant of Export Licence
An application for grant of export licence in respect of items mentioned in Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) may be made in the form given in Appendix-18A or 18B, as the case may be, to the Director General of Foreign Trade and shall be accompanied by the documents prescribed therein. The Export Licensing Committee, under the Chairmanship of Export Commissioner, shall consider applications on merits for issue of export licences.
An Inter-Ministerial group under the Chairmanship of Director General of Foreign Trade shall consider applications for export of Special Chemicals , Organism, Materials , Equipments, And Technologies (SCOMET) as specified in Schedule 2 , Appendix-3 of ITC(HS) on the basis of guidelines issued in this regard from time to time.
11.3 Export Of Canalised Items
An application for export of canalised items mentioned in ITC(HS) may be made to the Director General of Foreign Trade.
11.4 Exports Of Samples/ Exhibits
An application for the export of samples or exhibits in excess of the ceiling as specified in paragraph 4.31 may be made to the Director General of Foreign Trade.

11.6 Gifts/ Spares/ Replacement Goods
For export of gifts, indigenous / imported warranty spares and replacement goods in excess of the ceiling/ period prescribed in paragraphs 11.4, 11.5 and 11.9 respectively of the Policy, an application may be made to the Director General of Foreign Trade.
