Lalu assures the upcoming Railway Budget 2008-09 to be favorable

Railway minister, before the release of the rail budget 2008-09 promises that the upcoming budget would consist of several new reforms in favor of a common man. The coming budget would me much more promising than the previous one in many aspects. Various new steps would be introduced in order to enhance the facilities for passengers.

Apart from this, he also threw lights on hiking the income plan for railway workers along with enhancing the security system to look for the protection of railway properties and thus make railways the most effective as well as the safest sector in the country.

Lalu also counted on the accomplishments that railways have been able to achieve since the time when rail ministry has come into his hands and the “huge” profits it has been able to draw because of that. He also promises that this railway budget 2008-09 would be entirely aam janta's (common man's) budget.

There are also speculations that there would be noticeable reduction in general railway fares as well thus making railways affordable for different sections of society.
