Before the upcoming of budget 2008, Nasscom brings forth five issues in its pre-budget memorandum. Nasscom proposes the government to:
- Carry on the Software Technology Park of India scheme till 2010.
- Bring leniency in the eligibility criteria for the scheme of Large Tax Payer Unit. As per the running rule, only those companies who pay off a sum of 10 crores or more as advance tax becomes eligible.
- Instill some appropriate modifications in the domestic laws in order to allow an effective system or process for full tax credit.
- Introduce the system for the Advance Pricing Agreements concerning the issues such as transfer pricing that would assure to ensure high tax certainty.
- Return back the service tax paid by the companies on the services used for exporting BPO applications and computer softwares.
